Cider Weekend Events
Ocotber 20th-21st
Join us for a Cider-bration in honor of Erin James, author of Tasting Cider and the editor-in-chief of CIDERCRAFT and Sip Northwest magazines, visiting Orcas! The festivities will kick off Friday with a tasting of Finn River Cider with Krishna Kiger at Doe Bay Wine Company from 4:00-6:00pm. On Saturday, Erin will be at Darvill’s Book Store from 6:00-7:00pm where she will be signing her new book. At 7:00pm The Barnacle will be hosting Erin for an evening of Cider themed cocktails based on recipes from the book and featuring the local Boathouse CiderWorks.

Ladies Intermediate Tennis

This event is free and open to ladies ages 18 and up.

Audrey Daniels Jewelry Show
October 20th from 12:00-6:00pm at The Nest

Orcas Island Clinic Open House

The UW Medicine Clinic is open five days a week and offers same-day appointments. Join for an open house to tour the clinic, meet our expert caregivers and enjoy complimentary refreshments.

Maori Healing Circle
October 20th from 7:00-9:00pm at Oddfellows Hall
The Ancestors Assembly and Expansion Healing Circles bring immense change to the land, water, sky, self, home, the historic memory, and the forward memory. All are welcome to join Mauta Kumara in this powerful healing work. The suggested donation is $22, but no one one will be turned away. Please pay what you can.

Camp Orkila Fall Festival & Haunted Hay Ride
October 21st from 1:00-8:45pm
This year’s festival will have hot dogs, soup, chili and cider to warm people up! Activities include pumpkin carving, cider-pressing, face painting, archery, zip lining, climbing at the Climbing Tower, games, and much more! This is a family event, thus we would like to encourage all children and groups to be accompanied by an adult, and remember that there will be families including small children in attendance. All food and activities are free. The Haunted Hay Ride will be running between 7:00-8:45pm for those who want a little fright this season!
