Tax Help at the Orcas Senior Center
Fridays February 10th-April 14th from 9:00am-4:00pm
This service is offered by Jim Biddick and John Carl, and is available to those who are low or moderate income taxpayers. This program is not associated with the IRS TaxAide program and is not a for profit program. The taxpayer will be responsibile for all information provided and for the completeness and correctness of the tax return. Returns must be filed by mail. The service is free, but a donation of $5 is appreciated to cover program costs. All donations will benefit the Senior Center.

Ladies Intermediate Tennis
Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9:30-11:00am at the Buck Park Courts
This event is free and open to ladies ages 18 and up.

Children’s Story Hour at Darvill’s Bookstore

Fridays January 6th-June 16th from 3:30-5:00pm at The Funhouse
Ages 6-10, enrollment is $10 plus cost of personal supplies. Come learn to play and master the popular card game!

Celebrate Recovery
Fridays at 6:00pm at the Senior Center
Join us for this faith-based, 12 step program open to everyone. The program is designed to help with a wide range of issues from stress, divorce, grief, chemical dependency, co-dependency, eating issues, physical/sexual/emotional abuse or any other hurts or habits.

Orcas Currents Lecture Series
February 18th at 5:30pm at Orcas Center
Featuring Jonathan White discussing his new book, “Tides: The Science and Spirit of the Ocean.” Following the lecture, White will sign copies of of his book during a reception, which will include hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Admission to both events is free, but donations to Orcas Currents are welcome.

Valentine’s Dance at Oddfellows Hall

Conversation With Senator Ranker
February 18th at 1:00pm at Orcas Center
Join in a conversation with Senator Kevin Ranker about the specific actions we can take to protect our human rights and core values as he comes to Orcas Center to share and hear thoughts and ideas from islanders.
