New Year: New Works
January 20th & 21st at 7:00pm at Orcas Center
The Orcas Center is hosting three young playwrights from EST’s YoungBlood Program in New York as they finish drafts of three new plays. On January 20 and 21, there will be public staged readings of the plays followed by talk backs with the playwrights about the works as well as their writing process. Join us as we pull back the curtains for a behind the scenes look at the early stages of play development with talkbacks each night with the playwrights.

The Seaview Showdown
January 22nd at 4:00pm at Seaview Theater
It’s the first ever Sea View Showdown–the only movie-screen video game competition on Orcas! This time around, we will be featuring the game Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. There will be two phases of competition–an elimination phase and a bracketed tournament, ultimately resulting in a Sea View Showdown Champion! The tournament style may change depending on the number of sign-ups. Game Cube controllers as well as Switch controllers will be available. $15 to sign-up, limited spots.  $5 to get a ticket as a spectator.
