The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) Mobile Community Service Office is coming to Eastsound! They will be performing application interviews for Food and Cash, and yearly reviews. They will also be available to answer any questions on active cases or offered services.

Cuba Trip Dinner
May 17th at 6:00pm at the Orcas School Cafeteria
In April, a group of Orcas Island High School students took a trip to Havana, Cuba and embarked on various educational ventures such as meeting with government experts on solar power, learning about music-based community projects, and visiting permaculture farms. The students and their families are hosting this Cuban-themed dinner and slideshow presentation to share about the trip.  Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children, and are available at either Darvill’s or from the students directly.

Cob Oven Pizza Night at Orcasong Farm
May 17th from 6:00-8:30pm
Come enjoy pizza with fresh veggies from our garden and listen to our guest speakers on ecology, sustainability and the natural world. Hear local musicians and sing in a song circle every other Wednesday all summer long! Pizza prices range from $5-$10 a slice/small pie. This is a family friendly event.
