Library Grand Opening Celebration
June 23rd from 5:00-8:00pm
Come help us celebrate with a free dinner, including bratwursts, hot dogs (meat and vegetarian), sauerkraut, ice cream, and cake. At 6:00pm a brief program will be held, followed by more time to enjoy the new indoor and outdoor spaces. There will also be a no-host beer stand, courtesy of Island Hoppin’ Brewery, with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Library.

Sail Orcas Open House & Dinner
June 24th from 10:00am-8:00pm at the Orcas Island Yacht Club Shelter
Come check out the Sail Orcas Open House and Yard Sale, followed by a fundraising dinner beginning at 4:00pm. Dinner is $35 per person, $10 for kids and features options such as salmon and steak for adults, with hamburgers and hot dogs for kids.

Orcas Island Garden Tour

Five Gardens invite you to explore a variety of special places on our beautiful Orcas Island. The gardens include: a whimsical garden tribute to childhood; a lovely pastoral garden tucked in the forest; a seaside rock sculpture garden; a moss and rock garden that commands a magnificent view and a delightful ornamental and veggie garden set in a picturesque valley. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Driftwood Nursery, Darvill’s Bookstore, Smith & Speed Mercantile, Crow Valley Pottery, and all garden locations on tour days only.

Summer Solstice Parade

Join us for the 19th Annual Summer Solstice parade! This year’s theme is Island Rhythms. This whimsical foot parade will wind its way up North Beach Road to the Stage on the Green for music and dancing. Everyone is invited to participate in this family friendly kick-off to summer!

Honorary Mayor of Eastsound Debate
June 25th at 1:00pm in the Barnacle/Kitchen Courtyard
Four canines and one cat will face some tough questions from moderator Evan Wagoner-Lynch when they take the stage in the first ever Honorary Mayor of Eastsound Debate. Hosted by The Barnacle, the event will include some special cocktail offers in honor of current candidates, Dr. Spyder, Hudson, Skye, Toby and Tyrone.
