Introduction to Pilates Workshop
Wednesdays/Fridays at 9:00am at Center Works Studio (The front of the Athletic Center Building)
Joins us for one of our gateway classes to the studio! Strengthen, tone, improve your balance and flexibility! The workshop is designed around beginning mat work with a discussion about the history of the craft. Over the course of the workshop we will move to more intermediate mat work and props, and well as introducing work on two pieces of apparatus-the tower and the reformer. After completing the workshop you are welcome to join any class offered by the studio! Enrollment for the 7 week program is $168.00 plus tax, for more information or to register call 360-376-3659.

Chair Yoga at Orcas Senior Center
“This gentle way of practicing yoga eases tensions acquired from challenges of everyday life stresses or chronic disease. Brown Bag Concert
August 19th at 12:00pm at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church
Featuring the BODaLO Trio. This event is free to the public, but donations will be used to fund the Virgil Cleveland Memorial Scholarship to send an Orcas music student to Drayton Harbor music camp.
Sea Serpent Challenge
August 17th-20th from 1:00-4:30pm at the Park & Rec Office/Cascade Lake
“Your challenge is to build a floating craft to chase down the pirate king who has stashed chests of gold along the lakeside. You will use your craft to track down new clues and amass wealth as the week goes on. Life jackets required. Must have basic swimming skills. Contests take place at Cascade Lake.” This event is open to kids ages 7-10, cost is $60. For more information or to register visit www.oiprd.org.
