Art of the First Nations Opening Reception
March 19th from 5:30-7:00pm at Orcas Center
Art of the First Nations will be on display from March 20 through April 21.  Everyone is invited to attend the opening to celebrate Indigenous art and enjoy complimentary refreshments. The exhibition features the work of Indigenous artists, including Luke Marston, known for the form, design, and detailed finishing of his carvings, and Stan Greene, a master of Tsimshian design and carving techniques.

On Stage at The Black Box: How to Eat Like a Child
March 20th & 21st at 6:00pm at Orcas Center
Orcas Center is producing an all-kids musical theater show!  It’s a comedic crash course on the essential skills of childhood through teen years. Through 23 hilarious lessons, children teach the audience the joys and sorrows of being a kid. The cast age range is 8 to 17. There are group musical numbers, solo songs and more. Tiered ticket prices are $50, $30, or $20, ($10 student and senior tickets available) available at www.orcascenter.org.

Adult Ballet: Level 1 Barre & Stretch
Saturdays from 9:30-10:30am at the Orcas Center
Adults Ballet classes are a great way to learn basic ballet steps at the barre to help stretch and strengthen your body. Some ballet classes will learn short choreography in the middle of the floor and work on turns, leaps and jumps. Dancers of all levels are welcome to come give these classes a try. Ages 16+. Ostara Spring Equinox Ritual

Join Suzi Zobrist, Heather Wolf, and Sea Thorpe for a full-day Ostara Spring Equinox Renewal Ritual at a private Temple space on Orcas Island. This immersive gathering invites women, femmes, and thems to explore True Voice, Womb Wisdom, and Sensuous Power through movement, voice, ceremony, and community connection. The day includes guided ritual, somatic practice, singing, and shared reflection. A nourishing lunch and warm beverages are provided, and no prior singing or ritual experience is required. Orcas Island Historical Museum Seasonal Re-Opening
March 21st from 11:00am-3:00pm
The Orcas Island Historical Museum is re-opening for the season! Starting Saturday, March 21, they will be open to the public from 11am-3pm. Their weekly schedule operates Thursday-Sunday with additional days in the summer. The Main Gallery now features Orcas Clay: Island Ceramics Through the Years. This exhibit is a celebration of the wide variety of pottery techniques & artistic styles representing historic and contemporary ceramicists of Orcas Island. Meet the Museum volunteer docents, check out new & improved exhibits, and get to know our island past in ways that you may never have before!

March Turtleback March
March 21st at 11:00am at Turtleback South Trailhead
Celebrate the 20th anniversary of Turtleback Mountain Preserve with a special “Up and Over” hike. The 5-mile guided hike begins at the South Trailhead parking area (Deer Harbor Road/Wild Rose Lane), where participants will catch a shuttle to the North Trailhead before hiking “up and over” the mountain back to their cars. Along the way, Land Bank staff will share information about recent and upcoming stewardship projects while hikers enjoy the early signs of spring on the mountain. Be sure to dress for the weather, bring water, and most importantly, bring friends. Registration is required, as space is limited. Contemporary Dance

Contemporary Dance meets Sundays & Tuesdays from 10:00-11:15am, at the Orcas Center Dance Studio and Thursdays from 5:15-6:45pm at Odd Fellows Hall. Bingo at the American Legion
March 22nd at 11:00am
Bingo cards are $1 each, and players will have the chance to win an Easter ham. A lunch will be served beginning at 12pm for $15, featuring ham, garlic smashed potatoes, corn, a roll, and peach cobbler. Come enjoy a fun afternoon of bingo, food, and community.

Spring Equinox Tea Ceremony

This intimate gathering offers a moment to pause, reconnect with yourself, and share in quiet reflection with community as the season shifts.  Space is limited to keep the experience intimate, so early participation is encouraged.

35+ Basketball
Sundays from 4:00-6:00pm at the Old Gym
Join other adult basketball players in pick-up basketball games on the full court in the gym. New and experienced players are invited to join a team. The gym opens at 4pm each Sunday, and play continues through 6pm. Indoor shoes are required. Balls and a first aid kit are provided. Pay $5 for a one-time drop-in, or pay $30 for a 6 month all-access pass that allows you to drop-in to any adult sport, including soccer, volleyball, and ultimate frisbee. Buy your Drop-in Pass Here.

Drop-in 15+ Futsal, $5 drop-in per class or $30 for an all-pass for any drop-in sport. Coordinated by Orcas Island Park and Recreation.

On Stage at Orcas Center: Ladies of Laughter

The Ladies of Laughter® tour is coming for a special performance at Orcas Center with two comics: Kelly MacFarland and Leighann Lord. Ladies of Laughter® is an organization and national competition dedicated to providing a platform for female comedians to showcase their unique humor, jumpstart their careers, and promote women in the comedy industry. 16+ Volleyball
Wednesday/Sunday from 7:30-9:30pm at the Old Gym
Join adult volleyball players in the gym to learn volleyball and put your skills to the test in rounds of short games. New and experienced players are invited to join and play along. Several players are needed to help set-up and remove the net each time. Indoor shoes are required. Pay $5 for a one-time drop-in, or pay $30 for a 6 month all-access pass that allows you to drop-in to any adult sport, including soccer, basketball, and ultimate frisbee.
