Vacation Bible School
July 8th-12th from 9:00am-12:00pm at the Orcas Community Church
Kids have the opportunity to go on wild adventures, enjoying fun and energetic action songs, times of teaching and prayer and building friendships.

Hamlet Reading for Women Workshop
July 12th from 10:00am-5:00pm
The purpose of this class is to make Shakespeare more comfortable to women who may need encouragement to audition later in the year for our all-female production of ‘Hamlet’ which will be produced in July 2020. This class is open to 20 female registrants with priority given to the women who pre-register. Otherwise, first come, first served. If there are seats open at the time of the class, we will welcome walk-ins. Preregister by sending an email to info@orcasislandshakespeare.org indicating that you wish to attend. Include full name and contact info.

This event is free and open to ladies ages 18 and up.

Summer of Space
July 12th at the Orcas Library
Join us as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon! There will be a variety of programs for kids, teens and adults throughout the month of July. Today will feature a free program for K-8 kids called Elephant Toothpaste at 1:00pm, and a free teen and adult program on the moon landing at 6:00pm. For more information visit www.orcaslibrary.org.

Spooky Tales at the Museum
Fridays at 5:00pm at the Crow Valley Museum
Join us for a scare with an Orcas twist! Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for members and $5 for children under 18. Tickets are available at both museums, online or at the door.

Lights for Liberty Vigil
July 12th at 7:30pm at the Village Green
Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Detention Camps, will bring thousands of people to locations worldwide to protest the inhumane conditions faced by migrants. There will be live music by Mandy Troxel and activists, organizers, and members of impacted communities will speak prior to the candlelight vigil at 9:00pm
