Medicare Part D Walk-in Clinic
November 30th from 1:00-4:00pm at the Orcas Library
Please plan to bring a list of the prescription medicines you take, including the dosage for each, and our volunteers will show you how much you are likely to pay for drugs and insurance in 2019 and help you sign up for a new plan if needed. Each year between October 15 and December 7 you are given a chance to review your Medicare drug and Medicare Advantage plans to see if they still work for you.

The 2010 Haitian earthquake disaster had a personal connection for Orcas Island resident Rosedanie Cadet when she returned to her home in Limbé, Haiti. She returns to Orcas on Friday to provide the supportive Orcas community with an update in a presentation and conversation about Food Education/Sovereignty in Haiti.

Rosario Resort Festival of the Trees
Christmas trees return to light up the Moran Mansion at Rosario Resort and Spa during the month of December, decorated by ten local non-profit organizations. Sponsored by the resort, the Festival of Trees is designed to be a fundraiser during this holiday season for participating organizations.

Turtleback Mountain Volunteer Day

Meet your new Orcas Stewardship Staff and throw in a little habitat restoration to boot! Join us in the oak restoration units to help plant plugs grown in the Salish Seeds Project nursery. We will depart promptly at 9:45 am from the South Trailhead parking area (Deer Harbor Road/Wild Rose Lane) to hike up the mountain. Tools will be provided. Dress for the weather and bring water/snacks.
Montessori Labyrinth Dedication
