Free Cognition and Swallow Screenings
August 11th from 12:30-3:00pm at the Orcas Senior Center
Speech-Language Pathologist, Libby Lewis, will offer free cognition and swallow screenings at Orcas Senior Center.  Screenings involve a review of concerns, a brief one-page assessment of cognition or observation of consumption of one food and one liquid item. On Stage at The Grange: Whither the Wind Blows
August 11-13th at 7:30pm
The Actors Theater of Orcas Island will present the world premier of Whither the Wind Blows, for two weekends at the Orcas Grange. The play, written by Rick Gossett, from Skagit Valley, is directed by Tom Fiscus. The play will follow a special concert of Hebridean and Celtic music beginning at 7:30pm performed by a group of local musicians, led by Dave Zoeller. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Darvill’s Bookstore, online at orcasactors.org or at the door.
