Call for Artists
The Art Committee at the Orcas Island Public Library is seeking applications for the 2024 exhibit schedule. All types of art — painting, sculpture, photography, mixed-media — are acceptable. The deadline for submissions is November 1st. Interested Orcas Island artists 16 years or older should submit an application including the following:
1. name, address, email, and phone number
2. six digital copies of your work
3. a brief (200 word) statement covering the artist’s interests and background
Applications can be sent to to the Committee Chair, Dave Kosiur at: dkosiur@gmail.com. Brochures with additional information about submissions and exhibiting are available at the front desk of the Orcas Island Library.
Orcas Island Farm Tours
September 29th-October 1st
The Orcas Island Farm Tour gives the public the opportunity to experience farms and businesses across the island! Pet a sheep, sample goat cheese, pick a pumpkin, and explore artisan arts, goods, and foods. Click here for more information and to preregister.

Rosario History Presentation and Concert

A Time for Time: The Shapes We Make Art Exhibit Opening

Head out to the Orcas Island Winery and MUST Gallery for a free-to-the-public evening featuring the art of our very own Natalie Menacho with live music from The Northship. Light bites will be provided. Wine and artwork will be available for purchase.

Orcas Island Farmers Market: Harvest Festival
September 30th from 10:00am-2:00pm at The Village Green
Join us as we wrap up the summer season with our Harvest Festival and final outdoor market! Featuring live music, raffles, a zucchini contest, and lots of local goods! The Fall indoor Farmers Market at Oddfellow’s Hall will begin October 28 and run through November 25.
The Great Islands Clean Up
September 30th from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Village Green
Join your Orcas Island community for the Fall Great Islands Clean-up! Bags, grabbers and vests will be available for pick-up at The Exchange starting Monday, September 26th or participants can meet at the Village Green at 10:00am the day of the event. Orcas Library Storytime

Saturdays through September from 12:00-4:00pm at Lum Farm
No reservations required. $5 per person, ages 3 and under are free. Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Parking is available in the farmstand parking lot, and guests can check in at the farmstand. We will have a farmstand host available up at the goat pens to introduce you to our most congenial farm ambassadors. Hoedown at the Hangar
September 30th at 2:00pm at 212 Slanted Apple Lane
In conjunction with the Orcas Farm Tours, this event will feature a pumpkin patch, live music, food and drinks. Gates open at 2:00pm with a kids pumpkin patch in the orchard and live music with Doug Fleming. Kids under 12 are free. Bands begin at the hangar stage at 4:00pm. On Stage at Orcas Center: Bahia in Motion

Orcas Center and the Orcas Dance Collective welcome Bahia in Motion, a Brazilian Dance organization. Tiered Ticket Pricing: $59, $29, $15. There is an additional $2 ticketing fee.
