Join the Potters of Orcas Collective for a weekend pop-up and sale of locally wood-fired ceramics by nine Orcas Island artists. Meet the artists at the opening reception, learn about this age-old, labor-intensive method of firing, and enjoy a selection of flame-kissed ceramics from the wood kiln that we built together and affectionately named Winnie.

Follow Lysistrata and her band of Renegades as the salvation of war-torn Greece lies in the hands of the matriarchy. This 45 minute dance theater piece incorporates burlesque and cabaret stylings to reinterpret the classical comedy by Aristophanes for a contemporary audience. Featuring a powerhouse soundtrack and all-local cast. Performance is for mature audiences ages 18+. This is a Valentine’s Double Feature, with two shows slotted for 7pm and 9pm on both Friday and Saturday. Tickets are limited to 40 seats per show and will sell out fast! Valentine’s Dance at Odd Fellows Hall

Join all the cool cats at Odd Fellows Hall this Valentine’s Day for an unforgettable evening of local music, connection, and celebration featuring: Jenna Moreno, 13 Finches (Tal Goettling and Shannon Harris), Minnow Creek (Clint McCune, Rebecca Cohen, Dan Hall, and Joel Gamble), and DJ Bodhicypha, with light design by Mark Seiler. This all-ages event is by donation only and all proceeds go to the musicians, so come dance, laugh, and celebrate love in all its forms.
The Fire of Love at Orcas Center

Please join local artist and writer Debra Lee Babcock and poet Jill McCabe Johnson as they host the 2nd annual Valentine’s Day event at Orcas Center, immediately following the Textile Show opening in the Madrona Room. There’ll be an open mic sign-up sheet at the event, 5-8 minutes each, for your own work or just a favorite on the topic. Come with your friends and your beloveds, including yourself. This a free, un-ticketed event, with any donations offered to be sent to the World Central Kitchen for California Fire Relief. Botanical Bar PNW Pop-Up
February 15th from 10:00am-1:00pm at Primavera Orcas
Botanical Bar PNW, a member of the Boardwalk Collective, will be bringing some brightness to the Island this week with a week-long pop-up on the greenhouse side of Primavera Orcas. And with the weather clearing, they will also be offering deliveries! The pop-up will feature a limited number of designers choice floral arrangements in handcrafted ceramic vases in several sizes, by local artist Jodi Spitalli. They will be offering wrapped bouquets to go, vase arrangements in a variety of sizes, planted bulbs, house plants, candles, cards, sweet treats by Sweet Craft BakeShop and a few other goodies.
PlayFest Auditions

After a few years on hold, the Actors Theater of Orcas Island is thrilled to announce the revival of PlayFest, the beloved production that celebrates our community’s creative talent. Reviving some of the best plays of the last several years, PlayFest offers a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a production without a major time commitment, whether you’re a seasoned actor or director, or a first-timer. Each play is approximately 10 minutes long, and the process includes just six to eight rehearsals, so even if you’re currently in an ongoing production you may still be able to dive in!
