This group is designed to help normalize your feelings, facilitate healing, and provide understanding. This is a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. OISD Key Club Paper Airplane Contest
May 21st at 2:20-6:00pm at OHS Gym
The Orcas Island Key Club is hosting a Paper Airplane Contest in support of Mercy Flight at the high school gym at 2:20pm on Wednesday, May 21. There will be prizes for winners in three categories (Accuracy, Distance, and Creativity) by age group:  elementary schoolers, middle schoolers, and high schoolers/adults.  Entry is free, and there will be a donation jar for parents and community members who feel inclined to donate. Mercy Flights transports those in need of urgent care off the island for free, whether you have a doctor’s appointment, are in labor, or need urgent off-island medical care. Beginning Guitar Classes
Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30pm at The Funhouse Commons
Spring music classes will run from the beginning of April through the end of May. Instruments provided! Enroll today!  Beginner Violin (ages 5-8 and 7-11), Group Ukele ages (7-11), Beginner Guitar (ages 8-12), and Kids’ Chorus (ages 6-11).

Salish Sea Early Music Festival Concert
May 21st at 5:00pm at the Orcas Adventist Chapel
Join early music enthusiasts for concerti from the court of Frederick the Great! Performers include David Schrader, harpsichord (Chicago), Jeffrey Cohan, baroque flute (Anacortes), Elizabeth Phelps, baroque violin (Seattle), Courtney Kuroda, baroque violin (Los Angeles), Christine Moran, baroque viola (Germany/San Francisco), and Susie Napper, baroque cello (Montreal). Suggested donation $20 to $30, but as always a free will offering; pay as you wish — 18 and under free.

Join Middle Eastern dance classes with Robyn W. Gordon on Wednesdays at 6pm at Orcas Senior Center. Open to all ages and skill levels, these lessons are designed to suit individual paces, with foundational moves practiced continuously to build confidence. Classes are $15 per session, or $12 for Orcas Senior Center members. Financial assistance is available- no one will be turned away.
