Protecting Artists in the Modern World

The Economic Development Council (EDC) is hosting a free workshop for artists of all mediums, led by Taylor Fairchild of Washington Lawyers for the Arts. This session will cover how artists can protect their intellectual property—including against AI use—and navigate copyright, trademark, and patent issues. Ms. Fairchild, a practicing IP attorney, musician, and fiber artist, will share practical tips to safeguard creative work in today’s digital environment. Smart Money Strategies for Seniors

Level 2/3 Ballet 16+

Adults Ballet classes are a great way to learn basic ballet steps at the barre to help stretch and strengthen your body. Some ballet classes will learn short choreography in the middle of the floor and work on turns, leaps and jumps. Dancers of all levels are welcome to come give these classes a try. Register Here

Step into the magic of the Salish Sea through an immersive 360° projection experience designed to delight families and inspire nature lovers. Travel beneath the waves, meet the remarkable creatures of our local waters, and discover the rich underwater ecosystem that supports life throughout the region. Sex Trivia at The Lower Tavern

By popular demand, the Lower Tavern and the Island Reproductive Health Alliance are bringing back Sex Trivia with their very own Tim as host.

16+ Adult Volleyball
Wednesday/Sunday from 7:30-9:30pm at the Old Gym
Join adult volleyball players in the gym to learn volleyball and put your skills to the test in rounds of short games. New and experienced players are invited to join and play along. Several players are needed to help set-up and remove the net each time. Indoor shoes are required. Balls and a first aid kit are provided. Pay $5 for a one-time drop-in, or pay $30 for a 6-month all access pass and allows you to drop-in to any adult sport, including soccer, basketball, and ultimate frisbee.

16+ Futsal
April 22nd from 7:30-9:30pm at Orcas Island High School
Drop-in 15+ Futsal, Wednesdays 7:30pm- 9:30pm at the Orcas Island High School Gym. $5 drop-in per class or $30 for an all-pass for any drop-in sport. Coordinated by Orcas Island Park and Recreation.…
