Leadership San Juan Islands Informational Meeting

Leadership San Juan Islands is now accepting applications for Class XVIII, a community leadership program running December 2026 through May 2027. The program brings together participants from across the islands to strengthen leadership skills, build community connections, and explore the issues shaping the San Juan Islands. Candidates are selected based on their commitment to community involvement, interest in developing leadership skills, and demonstrated engagement in the San Juan Islands. Space is limited to 20 participants. The program includes sessions on San Juan, Orcas, and Lopez islands covering topics such as governance, health and human services, arts and culture, economics, ecology, and leadership development. Tuition is $925, plus a $50 application fee. Many participants receive sponsorships from their organizations, and partial scholarships and payment plans are available. Prospective applicants are invited to attend a virtual information session on August 22 or September 10 from 4–5pm. Registration, program information, and applications are available at LSJI.org.

Free Summer Concert Series

Orcas Center is proud to present its annual Summer Concert Series on the Village Green, bringing free, live music to the heart of Eastsound. The series runs June 28 through August 30. The eclectic lineup will have something for everyone with phenomenal performers for all ages. Up Up Up! headlines, with Dana Lyons also performing. Also on the lineup is a Kid Faire, hosted by Kaleidoscope Preschool and Child Care Center.
