OPALCO Annual Member Festival
April 25th from 3:00-6:00pm at the San Juan County Fairgrounds

Kids Chorus Classes Ages 6-11

Spring music classes will run from the beginning of April through the end of May. Enroll today!  Beginner Violin (ages 5-8 and 7-11), Group Ukulele ages (7-11), Beginner Guitar (ages 8-12), and Kids’ Chorus (ages 6-11).

The Kitchen Pop-Up at Odd Fellows Hall

Island institution The Kitchen returns to feed your body and spirit with a Fridays pop-up down stairs Odd Fellows Hall. The Hall has been undergoing renovations and you won’t want to miss this exciting addition to the scene! The Kitchen will be accepting phone orders, but please no voicemails! A*OK Art for Kids & High School Student Art Show Opening Reception
April 25th from 4:30-6:00pm at Orcas Center
To celebrate our island youth, a student art exhibit is being hosted at the Orcas Center from April 25 – May 19. The show features art created in A*OK classes, Kindergarten through 8th grade, as well as pieces from the Orcas Island High School. Join the artists and the VAC at the opening reception on Friday, April 25 in the Madrona Room at the Orcas Center. Orcas Island High School art students will be giving brief talks about their work and these presentations should not be missed! Sci-Fi Saturdays at The Funhouse
April 25th at 6:00pm
Sci-Fi Saturdays are back! The Teen Funhouse Advisory Board is planning weekly hangouts for middle and high schoolers on Saturday nights with fun Sci-Fi films and free dinners!  From 6:00-7:00pm there will food and fun for all ages, followed by a movie for 6th grade and up at 7:00pm.  April 25: Back to the Future (PG)

On Stage at Orcas Center: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

The whimsical world of Wonderland takes center stage at Orcas Center in an extraordinary new ballet production, offering audiences a fresh and imaginative interpretation of Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic. The Spring Great Islands Clean Up
April 26th from 10:00am-2:00pm at the Village Green
We’re challenging businesses, neighborhoods and other organizations to get involved by putting together a team – prizes will be awarded! Bags, grabbers and vests will be available for pick-up at The Exchange starting Monday, April 21 or at the Eastsound Village Green at 10am the day of the event. Garbage collected from roads and beaches can be dropped off at the Village Green from 2-3pm the day of the event. Participants can stop by Island Hoppin’ Brewery for a free pint starting at 4pm. Earth Day Procession of the Species Parade
April 26th from 11:30am-12:00pm in Eastsound
Don your favorite animal, plant or element costume and join the Procession. Assemble at the Public Library lawn starting at 11:00am. The parade launches at 11:30, and will proceed down Rose to North Beach and head to the sea, culminating at the Eco Fair at the Labyrinth. Street theater environmental contingents encouraged, and all ages are welcome!
