Middle School Spaghetti Dinner
April 5th from 5:00-6:00pm & 6:30-7:30pm
The Orcas Island Middle School Spaghetti Dinner is back for its 35th year! Hosted by the students and staff of Orcas Island Middle School and generously sponsored by Island Market. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 11-and-under. Get your tickets from any middle school student, at the door, or purchase in advance online! The meal includes spaghetti (meat or vegetarian), salad, and ice cream. While you eat your meail, enjoy live music from the middle school band and the high school strings.!
On Stage at Orcas Center: Returning Focus

In a blend of dialogue and dance, “Returning Focus” explores the complexities of grief and the tumultuous path of disconnection, reconnection, and ultimately, understanding. Written and directed by Ellie Wright, featuring the Orcas Dance Collective.

Kids, grades 4 and up, can grab a free copy of Wonka at the Library and join the TOC Book Club for a book discussion on April 6th. Baby Saturdays at Lum Farm

Lum Farm invites you to celebrate Spring with their newest crop of farm babies with a free baby-viewing and petting zoo event (donations gratefully accepted). The farm stand is also open during this time.
Earth Day Parade Workshops
April 6th & 13th from 1:00-4:00pm at The Funhouse
The Procession of the Species parade on Earth Day is hosting two free decoration and costume workshops at the Funhouse. Basic materials kit is free to create an easy headdress or creature to carry on a pole. Options for more complex materials and ready-made costumes and components by donation. Salmon, eagles, orca, heron, ravens, flowers, butterflies? Your design plans are also welcome! There will be makers on hand to help with materials and construction.
