Kathy’s Ukulele Kanikapila
Fridays from 10:30am-12:30pm at the Orcas Senior Center
Join the Kanikipila, Hawaiian for “play music,” led by Kathy Collister, The first half hour will be a lesson or two and then everyone will have the opportunity to play. Adults of all ages with all levels of ukulele expertise are welcome, but as per Kathy’s request, please be prepared to show your vaccination card at your first session. Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival Concert

On Stage at The Grange: Whither the Wind Blows

August 4-6th & 11-13th at 7:30pm
The Actors Theater of Orcas Island will present the world premier of Whither the Wind Blows, for two weekends at the Orcas Grange. The play, written by Rick Gossett, from Skagit Valley, is directed by Tom Fiscus. The play will follow a special concert of Hebridean and Celtic music beginning at 7:30pm performed by a group of local musicians, led by Dave Zoeller. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Darvill’s Bookstore, online at orcasactors.org or at the door.

The Sea View Theatre is bringing 10 local musical acts to compete for a variety of awards, issued by our legendary panel of judges.
