Join us for a weekend of informative talks, meet & greets, and general celebration of the literary community. Author Rosanne Parry at The Library

Join New York Times Bestselling Author Rosanne Parry for two special programs at the Orcas Island Public Library. Parry will be giving a writer’s workshop on Friday and a fun, family event on Saturday in partnership with the Orcas Lit Fest. Rosanne will discuss her novel, A Whale of the Wild. Both events are free, open to the public, and generously provided by the Friends of the Orcas Island Public Library. Jazz at Wild Island

We are looking forward to our first performance on our stage for the summer! This Thursday and Friday at 5:00pm, and on Saturday at 12:30pm. This week on stage: Steve Alboucq-trumpet, Greg Feingold-bass, Holmberg Max-drums and Shawn Schlogel-keyboard. The concerts are open to the community, and donations are welcome.

Forest Demonstration Project Tour with The Land Bank
June 3rd from 5:30-7:00pm at Turtleback Mountain Preserve
The San Juan County Conservation Land Bank, in partnership with the Islands Conservation Corps, Rain Shadow Consulting and the San Juan Preservation Trust, is offering a tour to highlight recent forest management work funded by a Washington Department of Natural Resources grant. Lit Walk Literate Libations
June 3rd at 6:00pm & 7:00pm at The Barnacle.
Stroll over to join Orcas Island Lit Fest and enjoy visiting and local authors. Meet the writers, get books signed, live music, and enjoy a selection of literate libations specially crafted for the event. Two opportunities featuring different writers. This event is free to the public.

Island Primary Care 5K & Health Fair
June 4th from 9:00am-3:00pm
Join Island Primary Care – Orcas for a 5k walk/run and health fair.! Activities include 5k walk/run, blood pressure checks, chair massages, games and refreshments.
