Forest Stewardship Course

Lamb Walk Field Trip

March Turtleback March
March 17th at 1:00pm sharp at Turtleback Mountain Preserve
The San Juan County Land Bank and San Juan Preservation Trust invite you to welcome spring with a 5 mile “Up and Over” hike of Turtleback Mountain Preserve! We will depart promptly at 1:00 pm from the South Trailhead parking area (Deer Harbor Road/Wild Rose Lane) on board a Camp Orkila bus to the North Trailhead. From there it’s “up and over” the mountain on an amazingly beautiful hike back to your car. Dress for the weather and bring water/snacks. Save the Olga Post Office Meeting
March 17th from 3:00-4:00pm at the Olga Community Center
A group of concerned citizens has formed the SOPO (Save Our Post Office) committee with the mission to save the Olga post office. It also serves the purpose of preserving this important and charming historical building. An account is being established through the Orcas Island Community Foundation, where direct (tax deductible) donations to this project can be made. Additional details on the effort will be presented at the first of a series of community meetings.
