May 8th & 9th at 7:00pm
This original multimedia dance experience, created and performed by the Orcas Dance Collective and directed by Jake Perrine, explores the divisions within our culture while highlighting what connects us. Blending movement, technology, and storytelling, the production draws on the science of how our brains instinctively sort people into “us” and “them,” challenging audiences to reflect on these divisions and recognize our shared humanity. Attending the closing night performance on May 9? Consider making it a full evening by joining the annual gala dinner beforehand.

Sweet Shop Art Reception
May 9th at 4:00pm at the Orcas Library
The Sweet Shop is a whimsical art installation celebrating books, reading, and public libraries. Growing up in Oakland, California, Rachel Brumer cherished her weekly bike rides to the library—always stopping for candy on the way home. To her, the two became forever linked… because a book is like a piece of candy. Bring Mom for a pre–Mother’s Day treat and fill a free bag of sweets just for her.
May 9th at 5:00pm at the Orcas Center
Attendees will enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by award-winning chef Avery Adams of Matia, along with beverages included in the $150 ticket price. This festive evening supports the arts in the community while bringing people together in celebration. Following dinner, guests are invited to attend the closing night performance of INDIVISIBLE, an original multimedia dance experience exploring divisions in our culture (tickets sold separately).
