Today On Orcas Island

Rotary Presents Photographer Robert Dash
November 20th from 9:00-10:00am via Zoom
Robert Dash will present images from his forthcoming book, Food Planet Future. This book looks at food from a microscopic, surreal perspective, and considers the perils and promise of global food production during the climate crisis. Please email christina.wolfe@gmail.com  for the Zoom link.

Wild Food Take-Out Event
November 21st from 4:30-6:30pm at The Barnacle
Kwiaht botanist Madrona Murphy presents a sampling of sweet and savory dishes.  Preorder online for a free tasting box featuring sweet and savory small bites.  Celebrate the harvest and season of thankfulness with sustainably harvested wild fruits and a choice of take-out food & seasonal cocktails from The Barnacle! Details and menu can be found online at www.thebarnacle.com.

Some restaurants have begun to open for social distance dining and others are continuing with take-out/delivery options. Plan to call ahead to confirm that they are open, but we encourage supporting the small businesses in our community during this time, if you are able! This includes boutiques and other shops across the county.
