Kathy’s Ukulele Kanikapila
Fridays from 10:30am-12:30pm at the Orcas Senior Center
Join the Kanikipila, Hawaiian for “play music,” led by Kathy Collister, The first half hour will be a lesson or two and then everyone will have the opportunity to play. Adults of all ages with all levels of ukulele expertise are welcome, but as per Kathy’s request, please be prepared to show your vaccination card at your first session. On Stage at Orcas Center: The Paperboys

The Paperboys have been touring the world and lighting up stages with their freewheeling blend of influences from Celtic and bluegrass, to Mexican son jarocho, brass bands, and Canadian roots. Tickets can be purchased here.

Come explore lots of local produce, plant starts, artisan crafts, flowers, delicious food, and many more goodies every Saturday.  Featuring live music by Susan Osborn and Bruce Harvie with David Densmore from 11:00am-1:00pm.

Emmanuel Parish Hall Speaking Event
September 10th from 4:00-5:30pm
Pulitzer Prize winner Hedrick Smith will be speaking on What Is the Outlook for American Democracy?  This is an indoor event, masks required. Free tickets are available at Monkey Puzzle, Darvill’s, & Office Cupboard.


Fall Kickoff Block Party

September 11th at 10:00am at Orcas Island Community Church
All are invited to the Fall Kickoff Block Party! There will be an outdoor worship service at 10:00am. At 11:30am, we will continue with music from Turtleback Brass, a BBQ lunch provided by Matthew’s Smokehouse, a bouncy house for the kids, and other fun games.
