Strengthening Families Workshop
Wednesdays through March 17th from 5:00-7:00pm at The Funhouse Commons
Strengthening Families 10-14 is a free seven week workshop for families with youth who are 10-14 years old. With a focus on empathy-building, healthy boundaries, and resiliency to peer-pressure, this program is designed to prepare families with the tools to navigate this stage of life together. Youth and adults leave with concrete skills to approach this next chapter of life. Dinner is provided for free at the beginning of each program, followed by youth and parent/caregiver breakout sessions where groups will learn skills from the evidence based curriculum and from each other. The program ends with a family group session, where parents and youth come together to practice what they’ve learned (ex, family meetings, active listening) and play games together. The Adult sessions will be facilitated in both English and Spanish. The youth session is facilitated only in English. Register online here, Sitio web de registro
