Spring Give Orcas
May 8th-17th
This year’s Spring GiveOrcas campaign features twenty-six local nonprofit organizations. Each organization’s proposal was vetted and approved by the Community Grants Committee composed of local volunteer members. The overall request from organizations is $380,000, and with your contributions, OICF’s goal is to fully fund every proposal. Ladies Intermediate Tennis
Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 9:00-11:00am at Buck Park
Free, drop-in, ages 16 and older.

Orcas Island Garden Club
May 15th at 10:00am at the Orcas Center
Many edible plants fulfill multiple useful functions, yet are often reserved for the vegetable or herb garden. Come out and explore the differences and similarities between (ideas of) gardens and landscapes, as well as delve into which roles edible plants can play in many settings.

5th & 6th Grade Naturalist Camp
Every other Wednesday beginning May 1st from 3:15-5:30pm
The Funhouse Commons is teaming up with the Youth Conservation Corps to offer an afterschool naturalist camp for kids in 5th and 6th grades! More info can be found on the Funhouse website.

Orcas Youth Chorus
Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm
Grades 6-12. The Music Advocacy Group and Orcas Choral Society are co-sponsoring the Orcas Youth Chorus and Junior Orcas Youth Chorus.  Sign-up here.

Music Lecture Series 
May 15th at 5:00pm at the Orcas Library
If you love music, come expand your understanding as Bruce Langford, music educator and Artistic Director of Orcas Choral Society, offers free lectures on “The Elements of Music,” at Orcas Island Public Library.  More information is available here.

Dodgeball Game Fundraiser
May 15th from 6:00-9:00pm at the OHS Gym
The Orcas Island Education Foundation is thrilled to announce this amazing, and fun, senior project by Hannah Alexander.  Come watch local businesses, as well as the Sheriff and Fire Departments play dodgeball!
