The Sale of 1000 Tamales
Ongoing at the Orcas Public School Culinary Arts Room
Help support the English Language Learner Program and the school by putting in an order for delicious tamales! Tamales will be freshly made on the day of the sale, November 6th. There is a choice of chicken, pork, and vegetarian with a mild, delicious sauce. Cost $30 per dozen with a minimum order of 6. 2015 Orcas Senior Faire
October 28th from 9:00am-4:00pm at the Senior Center
This year’s theme is “Staying on the Island We Love,” consisting of a variety of informative panels and entertaining sessions dealing with the sometimes unique challenges of aging and staying here on Orcas, as well as information tables describing various senior services available on the island. Coffee will be served started at 8:30am followed by lunch at 11:30pm. Please RSVP if you plan on attending the Senior Lunch at orcasseniorcenter@gmail.com, the event is free to the public.

Introduction to Pilates Workshop
Wednesdays/Fridays at 9:00am at Center Works Studio (The front of the Athletic Center Building)
Joins us for one of our gateway classes to the studio! Strengthen, tone, improve your balance and flexibility! The workshop is designed around beginning mat work with a discussion about the history of the craft. Over the course of the workshop we will move to more intermediate mat work and props, and well as introducing work on two pieces of apparatus-the tower and the reformer.
